How to Make a Beautiful Flower Pot Arrangement
Making a Difference
Flower pots can make a front porch look warm and inviting. They can give an otherwise drab gloomy area, a cheerful happy feel. By introducing colorful cascading flowers into your outdoor décor, an immediate new look can be achieved. There are several ways to fill a flower pot. One single type of flower can be used, or a few different varieties of flowers can have an interesting effect. In this hub, I will give some suggestions for which type of plants to use alone and which type of plants to use in groupings. The Flower Choose a flower pot that will compliment the space you plan to put it in. Be sure that it has holes in the bottom so that water can properly drain from it. Without them, when it rains the pot will fill with water and eventually the roots will begin to rot causing the plant to die. Some pots come with holes and trays, while others do not. Plant pots come in a variety of sizes and materials. Large heavy pots are great for decks and porches or places where the wind could knock them over easily. Small light-weight pots are perfect for tabletops. Staggering medium-sized pots down a staircase will create a beautiful effect for a front entrance. Flowers That Stand Alone WellThere are flowers that look absolutely stunning all alone. Here are some of my favorites:
